FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

With a dedicated server, you rent a machine we own and maintain. With colocation, the server is yours: you buy it, install it in our datacenter, and rent space, power, cooling and connectivity from us. The hardware stays your property, and you control its configuration entirely.
Housing, or server colocation, means installing your own hardware in a professional datacenter. You keep ownership of your servers and their configuration; we provide the rack space, redundant power, cooling, physical security and network connectivity.
Colocation for a 1U server starts at €42 excl. VAT per month, with a €50 excl. VAT setup fee and no commitment. It can be ordered online. Larger formats (quarter rack, half rack, full rack) are sized on quote based on the space, power and bandwidth you need.
Our racks are hosted by Digital Realty in the PAR3 datacenter at 7-9 avenue des Arts et Métiers, Saint-Denis (93), on the edge of Paris. The facility is certified ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, PCI-DSS, HDS, SOC 2 and SOC 3, runs on 100% renewable energy, and has 24/7 on-site security staff, CCTV with 30-day retention and biometric badge access. These certifications are held by Digital Realty, the facility operator.
Standard power is 3 kW per rack, extendable to 10 kW or more depending on your needs. Three kilowatts covers around ten standard servers; beyond that you are into dense hardware or accelerated compute, and cooling becomes as much of a question as supply.
Two options: a monthly flat rate, which keeps the bill predictable, or metered billing, which rewards efficient hardware. The flat rate suits a steady load, metered billing suits infrastructure whose consumption varies widely month to month.
Yes. Visits are scheduled in advance to reach your rack, replace a drive, add a machine or work on your cabling. Access is supervised, as in any datacenter, so that the security of your equipment and that of other customers holds.
Yes. Hosting is sold by rack unit, from 1U and 2U up to a full 47U rack. A single 1U server is a perfectly normal starting point, and the space grows later without having to move your hardware.
Connectivity is multi-carrier, which means your traffic does not depend on a single upstream provider. You can also use our IP transit and announce your own addresses with your ASN, if you have one.
Power is redundant: the datacenter is Tier III, a level that implies multiple power paths and the ability to keep operating through maintenance work. That is exactly what you expect from a room where you leave your own hardware.
Yes. If you have your own ASN and prefixes, they are announced over BGP from our network. If you do not, addresses are allocated to you. Both approaches coexist, and starting without an ASN then obtaining one later is common.
Basic DDoS protection is included in the network infrastructure. If your activity exposes you to targeted, repeated attacks, raise it when we quote: sizing is decided beforehand, not during the attack.
It depends on the space requested and how prepared your delivery is. A single server is installed quickly once it arrives; a full rack requires planning power, cabling and addressing. The rack builder on this site lets you price your configuration before we talk.
You do. That is the fundamental difference from a dedicated server: the operating system, updates, backups and monitoring stay on your side. If you would rather delegate, our managed services cover that separately.
Your hardware is yours: you take it back. Departure is scheduled like arrival, with a visit to dismount and remove your equipment. There is no data migration to organise, since the drives leave with you.
